Dolce&Gabbana/ Carven

The latest runway collections for Spring/Summer 2012 are bright with prints and patterns on fabric like I have never seen!

Color-blocking was once reserved for solid colors but designers across the board are showing color blocks of printed fabrics.  Kenzo featured a tossed parrot print in bold colors mixed with the geometric feel of a chicken wire print.

Dolce and Gabbana also featured color blocking of prints, but opted for a different look completely.  D&G used photographic prints on their fabric that featured mostly earthy vegetables.  Photographic prints of florals were also used by designers such as Julian Louie and Erdem.

My favorite spring fabric trend is a Missoni-inspired zigzag print done by Carven.  The cross-stitching and bright colors (such as Pantone color of the year Tangerine Tango) give the traditional stripe a global feel.

An intriguing discussion is worth comment. I do believe that you should publish more on this topic, it may not be a taboo subject but usually people do not talk about these subjects. To the next! Best wishes!!
