Recommendations
What are the fabric care instructions for fabrics?
As a general rule for our stretch fabrics:
- To retain maximum shape and flexibility, spandex should be hand washed only
- Never twist or wring Spandex when washing, instead gently knead the garment and rinse thoroughly with cold water
- Spandex should not be placed in the dryer. Air dry by placing on a flat surface to retain maximum shape
- Do not iron spandex fabrics or dry clean these fabrics
- Do not use bleach on spandex fabrics unless it’s color safe bleach
- Foiled fabric should not be exposed to any heat. This will cause the foil to shed!
Please be sure to follow the recommended care instructions when testing fabrics. Thank you!

What’s the difference between Heat Sublimation Printing and Wet Printing?
WET PRINTING
During the wet printing process, dye is applied directly to the fabric. This is typically done with an acid dye on a nylon-base fabric. Usually this method can achieve brighter colors because of the nylon in the base cloth. The dye penetrates all the way through the fabric during the wet print process, making it easy to identify a wet print by looking at the back of the fabric. You will be able to see the dye/wet print through the back of the fabric.
HEAT SUBLIMATION PRINTINGDuring heat transfer, or sublimation printing, a design is transferred from paper to fabric using both heat and pressure for a specific amount of time, called dwell time. With sublimation printing, the solid dye is actually turned into a gas form when it is heated. This is often done on fabrics containing polyester in the blend because polyester can withstand higher temperatures during the sublimation or heat transfer process. You will also be pleased to find out the images on a sublimation print are unlikely to fade, even on your favorite active wear stretch fabrics! How does your Pick-A-Print (PAP) program work?
This program allows you to pick from over thousands of prints and put that print on a base cloth of your choosing.
Here’s the step-by-step process:1) Choose a print!View our available prints through our: Digital Print Library or our Heat Sublimation Print Library.2) Choose a base cloth!
