Stretch Spandex Fabric Provides Joy for Individuals with Disabilities
Lending a helping hand goes a long way and brings a community together! Dianna Voisin, a longtime customer of PCF spandex fabrics, has been working with The Center for Habilitation (TCH) in Tempe, Arizona, to provide colorful exercise bands. The Center for Habilitation (TCH) takes pride in its mission to help find creative and innovative ways to give hope and purpose to individuals with disabilities.
TCH states, “[w]e support some of the most vulnerable people in Arizona. We ensure that more than 23% of Arizona adults with developmental or physical disabilities have the support and opportunities they need to live life to the fullest.” The center also offers a day program called Unique Boutique, where individuals create works of art to sell for purchase for homes and gardens. This program gives disabled adults a sense of purpose and pride that they can’t find at any other habilitation facility.
The exercise bands are made with bright spandex fabric that provides stimulation and movement! Dianna mentions that members are moved by color, so neon fabrics are perfect. Not only does Dianna create the spandex bands, but helps in teaching sewing techniques to individuals who are currently making headbands.
TCH goes above and beyond to assist and says, “we are thankful for our partnership with Dianna. She has provided a variety of items that support the independence of our individuals.”
We are pleased to see the bright stretch spandex fabrics bring joy and continue to collaborate with Dianna in providing playful new styles!
