Sustainable Practices and Eco Certifications
Pine Crest Fabrics strives to lead in supplying recycled, eco-friendly, and certified sustainable fabrics.
Sustainable Mill Practices
We work with certified mills that practice consumer safety and sustainable production processes. These mills focus on reducing waste, emissions, and water usage to limit our environmental impact.
Our sustainable practices include:
- Working with solar-powered production facilities
- Recycling wastewater and wastewater pre-treatment
- Using fibers made from recycled materials
- Phasing out the use of coal power by 2025
- Supporting key suppliers in reaching Net Zero Emission goals by 2050
In-House Practices
We are responsible for our effects on the environment and social well-being. Some of the sustainable practices we do to become an eco-friendly company are:
- Use fabric scraps to tie fabrics to bolts
- Utilize chipboard made from recycled cardboard
- Reuse cardboard to wrap shipments instead of using plastic
- Reutilize chipboard pieces
- Reuse fabric bolts and rolls
- Turn scrap paper into notebooks
- Donate empty pens to an artist for reuse in his artwork
- Work with freight companies using electric semi-trucks
- Donating outdated headers and scraps to Refibrd for recycling research
